Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall, is blessed with many opportunities for ministry, both within the congregation and in the community-at-large. The congregation also offers a variety of programs for spiritual nourishment, fellowship and personal support. This website is intended as a resource for you as you grow in involvement in this community of faith.
In a church the size of Faith Lutheran, the key to feeling “at home” is to find suitable places to become involved that fit your abilities and needs. Through your connections with worship, Christian education, service, fellowship and outreach, you can grow in commitment to Jesus Christ and his church, and build relationships that are sustaining in daily life.
For more information on any group or program listed on this webpage, please talk to the person(s) who might be listed. If no one is listed, you can always direct your inquiries to the Pastor, or the church office. If you are not sure where your niche could be, or if you wish to discuss your needs and talents, those same people are available for you!
"Prayer is a relationship with the living Lord. Expectant prayer opens our eyes as well as our hands to perceive and receive God’s answers. Prayer takes the focus off ourselves and puts it on God." Our Prayer Group meets every Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. until approximately 11:00 a.m. We open with a scripture reading or other inspiring materials from outside sources, review the prayer list from the previous week, and add any new persons for whom prayers have been requested. There is a Prayer Request List on the podium in the narthex. Names that are written there for prayers on a Sunday morning are also included in our prayers in our Prayer Group. We welcome anyone who would like to pray for others. Contact person is Pat Walschburger.
This group is currently reorganizing and beginning to actively meet. Chris Schmidt has taken a leadership role.
The Pastor offers various opportunities for study during the year. If there is a subject you would like to pursue, please talk to Pastor.
